Why ‘student’ extension of niwasi.in ? –
We as residents need to participate in collective initiatives in our community where we physically live, and participation in such collective actions can be learned. This student.niwasi.in is an extension of niwasi.in that facilitates this learning.
Our young residents ie children learn various life skills at their early age both in schools, as well as in family and community. Some of those life skills are related to their participation in community level actions.
We observe that collectiveness is on decrease among youths as well as elders as far as implementation of projects on development agenda, is concerned. Specifically, they feel that this is primarily a government responsibility. Our study also brings this forward. <report is attached> But this thought can be reversed to a certain extent, through small project activities. It could be demonstrated that participation from the residents can have direct impact on the development agenda.
This student extension is developed to facilitate practice-based learning for undertaking collective initiatives. We offer activity based small projects to learners on student.niwasi.in. These projects are both for the children as well as for youths and elders.
In above background, the student.niwasi.in provides ‘activity-based projects’ to learners in all age groups that relate to some direct contributions to their physical world community.
Learning project could be offered by following groups of entities. –
- A School
- A Community
- An NGO - Partner
- A Sub group
